Romy; Mirror, Mirror

Title: Mirror, Mirror
Characters: Rogue, Remy LeBeau
Verse: Earth Zero; an interlude
Previous Scene: Through the Looking Glass

Wanting to do something and actually doing itwere two different things, it turned out. Fancy that. Rogue skirts the peripheral of the pool, deciding, no, she really doesn't need to go swimming. Or undress. Or put on a bathing suit that covered less than her underwear did. She ends up sitting on the edge of the pool with her jeans rolled up and her feet in the water. It's more than she'd have ever done before, so she feels a smidge less cowardly than she might otherwise. Babysteps. She'd already made out with her boyfriend in someone else's bed, after all. That, she felt, was quite enough bravery for one day.

Let Remy get down to nothing; she'd sit back and appreciate the scenery.

He held her close to his chest, a happy hum bubbling up from deep inside somewhere as her fingers tickled up his skin. His eyes focussed on hers, taking in every curve of her face, his reflection in her eyes. The playful sparkle remained, lighting the black and red depths gazing into her perfect emerald orbs. In his whole life, Remy couldn't remember being as happy as he was with spending just one hour with Rogue.

Marie.

One hand traveled up her side, feeling her breathing, her pulse pounding, moving up to cup her throat, slide down over her heart and feel it beating beneath his palm. He breathed deep, keeping their gazes locked and cupping her cheek, "No, not down, You ain't gon' get pulled down anymore, Marie...I wanna see you fly."

He leaned in, bringing their lips together for a slow, tender kiss.
